Sweet Gebus this thing is stunning!

This one is the track model, completely optioned out. It's already sold, but the Alfa guy at the FIAT dealership that is now fixing my car, wants me to come down and do a proper test drive and write up of the one that is due to arrive later this week.

I can not freaking wait!

Lord help me, the GT-R may be looking for a new home.

Sweet lord baby jesus. I always said if they ever ditched the spider eye headlights they would have the sweetest looking car in that class.

Stats look fab on that test as well.

Fantastic. I think that little alfa is properly exciting. I would love to drive one. I think the most exciting part is the 2,200 pound curb weight. If the chassis is as good as I hear in the press, this thing is destined to be a favorite on the street legal weekend racer list. I can imagine it destroying big horsepower heavy performance cars on track days.

Top Gear recently had the Stig drive that Alfa and a 2015 Corvette Stingray around a track in Italy and the Corvette had the quicker time. But this track had a pretty long straight where the vette could use its power advantage. They also raced head to head and on the twisty parts the Alfa was much quicker with some insane corner speeds. On a tight track or even at autocross it will be tough to beat.

I recall that the TG guys loved the looks but were down on the aesthetic of driving it on a regular basis (no power assist steering for example)

It is gorgeous to look at though

Sounds about right. Alfa's were not built in the past for long straights such as tracks incorporating a drag strip (like former Seattle International Raceway, now PIR). But in the curves, the big cars always gave up their advantage to the little Alfas. From what I have read, this Alfa is cut from that vein. But with a lot more oomph and performance than the old models that we got here in the States.

I remember that too and remember thinking that that was a very Alfa choice to make. And one I personally like.

It looks smaller than I thought it was, but is sure is pretty. It would be a ball to have as a weekend car, but I sure wouldn't want to commute in one.

Funny, it is substantially larger in person than it appears on screen. Considerably larger than a Lotus. It's not big, but it would look big next to the Lotus. Almost the size of a 458 Ferrari.

The thing doesn't have a single line or curve on it that isn't gorgeous.

From the looks of it, that motor sitting right behind your head, with nothing in between of substance, I imagine the interior noise level is outrageous.

I'll find out soon enough.

Not like there's much capable competition in super street class
