Question: Have you ever seen my headstock?

BoomBoomBigelow

Genius of Love
It looks like this:

God, my cell cam sucks. My Galaxy SII was great but I lost that in the robbery, and I'll have to grill one of my progeny as to the whereabouts of my Canon digital.

Here's the rest of the deal:

Both the body and the neck, as well as the pick guard and hardware are from gfs. They were gifts. The bridge is a Wilkinson. The pickups are Toneriders. The body is paulownia, there is a slight glue line visible from the bridge to the tail. The neck was a paddle, had to shape it. Also had to take about an eighth inch off of the neck width, and a bit off of the pocket and thus it was hard to align the bridge. And pick guard.
And the pickup cover holes were a tad off.
So if you don't have any guitar building experience, it ain't a plug and play deal.
Works and sounds pretty good though after all is said and done, and but probably could get say a used MIM strat for the same money, needing far less work, and but it was fun.

Nice one, BoomBoomBigelow. I love how it looks authentic at first glance.

Can we make this a "show us your decals" thread? I have a couple I'd like to share too.

If I could locate this Leon Fendes guy, I'd like to tell him I want a couple more of his Stratocrusters. I hear he's prototyping a new one called the Telecrapper, or Smellecaster, or Fellatiacaster, or something.

Yeah, post 'em up, stu!

Well I'll just post this one for now. My surname's Morrow and my brother's nickname is "Mo". I put together a Tele partscaster for him/me a while back.

This is before I lacquered over the decal, but it's the best view I have:

And this is after applying lacquer (not as good an angle though):

That is a really good looking logo.
