Just received an email from Van Amps. he's got a fix that will reduce the pop and is also including a 9v output mod for my trouble. I'll need more details on output, but this could mean i can remove the One-Spot from my power strip. i'm gonna take him up on it. i've got nothing to lose.

That cool that he's taking care of you....will the 9v mod affect the sound?

it shouldn't. it's a 9v output. the pedal will still run on 12v. but it will be able to output 9v to power other pedals. pretty cool.
