Hamer is back in the sense that the name was sold and they're making import guitars. I'll wait for the custom shop guitars to show up before making any judgements.

KMC has always owned Hamer. Fender had bought KMC, and it was one of the brands that came along for the ride. But they sold KMC a couple of years ago, and I forget who owns the company now.
