Seriously?! That's awful. I'd have it set up on a stand to avoid that much weight. I'm asking about the same model with one weighing 7 lbs. and the other 8 lbs. Fifteen seems like an acceptable weight for a boat anchor or a shitty CBS-era P-Bass.
I do not, however, doubt that is sounds great. Supposedly Garcia's Alembic guitars were extremely heavy, but sounded great (not just to his fans, but according to folks like Warren Haynes who has had the honor of playing these instruments).
