Rough cut the neck shape. Can't get too close with a jigsaw. The blade likes to wander on the bottom.

And now I've sanded the neck up close to the line with a drum on the drill press.
I'll finish it from here on the router with some additional end grain precautions in place. Lol.
 
And trimmed flush with no major disasters. Some cleanup to do by hand but it's almost time to attach the fretboard.

How do you smooth out that nightmare spot where the headstock curves down from the fretboard? That always winds up looking like I whittled it when I try to sand it.

It's not glued now. Once soaked and steamed, you bend, then let it dry overnight. It should retain most of the shape even out of the clamp. We'll know tomorrow...
