Probably my own favorite design idea is to create a regular six string based on this shape.

I don't know how much that'd be unique but it would be different.

Almost like a Steinberger.
But with some style.

Cut to 17 3/8".

Based on how wide this one is, I fear it could go in a ways.

Here we are trimmed down to telecaster size.
Still one crack but I think most of that will come off when I shape it. If any remains, I'll fill with epoxy.

Ok. Operation Rethink is on.

Here are my ideas.

1. Use the Firebird I got from PK along with my Duncan firebird and build a tele. Maybe with something like this...

Or 2.
Go straight telecaster. That will cost me a lot more money, mainly in buying pickups. And more if I want a pickguard, control plate and all that business.

Well, that was a short lived NPD. But now I have another new pickup day.
Just swapped my son the Broadcaster for a Fender Original Vintage A3 pickup.
That's my favorite tele pickup, anyway and the one I wanted to begin with but the Broadcaster was available at a great price, so I snagged it. Nothing wrong with it. I just prefer the OV.
The OV is not the twangiest tele pickup on earth and my kid wants more. The Broadcaster with the A5 magnets should help. And I'll get him some steel saddles.

A. Not thrilled with the match.
B. I see gaps in the glue.

I think I like this piece better.
