Just curious,
What are some good but fairly inexpensive combo amps that, in their stock configuration, would serve as a respectable speaker cab for an amp head? Obviously this wouldn't be a good idea if you're lugging your amps around, so I'm considering this as a park it in my guitar room and leave it there option.
I ask because I've noticed that certain combo amps sell used for really cheap, often similar in price or cheaper than a stand alone speaker cab. For example, I just saw a JCM900 combo for $300. I don't need a JCM900, but getting one that can also serve as a cabinet for my Mesa or Orange amp head might be a good option. Am I on to something here? Dumb idea?
