Guitar Heel

Demented Trick
For those of you that missed the roller coaster the first time 'round, and you're exceptionally board with a few hours to lose, you can see the first round here: http://www.harmonycentral.com/forum/forum/guitar/acapella-41/1112103-

Well, that time it didn't quite work out, and the work was done by someone who actually knew what he was doing. Even so, I've got the itch to give it another try (and this time, I'm willing to try it myself). I figured I'd throw out a poll to see what y'all thought. The results won't necessarily sway me one way or the other, but I'm curious as to what you guys think.

Here's the guitar in question (fist in the line). A PRS SC245 in Tobacco Sunburst. As you can see, the finish has seen better days.

And here's my inspiration. A Gibson LP Deluxe.

What say you?

I love a goldtop, but I wouldn’t do it to a PRS unless I could afford to pay a pro to do it.

I would probably buy a shitty body off ebay and try it there before I totally ruin a nice PRS. But then again, there is no part of me that wants to do the finishing work on a guitar myself. I would much rather drop the cash and let this guy do it.

Wth is with the headstock? Oh well it's ruined anyway. Not my guitar, do what you want.

Never was one to care what people did. floyd on a 59 Les Paul. Sure, why not?

Oh well it's ruined anyway.
This is the Ted McCarty headstock, which was a limited run in 2009-10.

Assuming you were referring to the finish, yes, I agree. It's bad at the moment. I could leave it alone and be fine with it. I'm not too crazy about the tobacco sunburst, honestly. I mean, if it wasn't beat to hell, I probably wouldn't be considering the re-fin.
