Yeah, but I still like the look of the gold hardware on some guitars. I looks great on my Deluxe Player's Strat, and when necessary, I'll get new parts.
 
I am not anti gold on guitars for those who like it, but I just don't care for the look of gold. I have a sterling silver wedding band and watch for that reason.

If you like gold hardware, then go for it. It just ain't my thing.
 
I bet I could sell obscenely expensive solid brass hardware to cork sniffers by claiming that it doesn’t lose its color like gold, AND give moat toanz.

Then I would use a different company to sell a special brass polish just for instruments at $25 per 2 oz bottle.
 
I love the look of gold hardware are certain guitars.

But it does get funky and I understand HIAR's point of view.

This Les Paul copy dates from 1977. Inherited from brother in 1986. I don't know how much it got played as bro was primarily a drummer.
