GM sells Opel & Vauxhall to Peugeot

Makes sense to me. European populists might turn on foreign owned brands as their ideology catches on. European liberals might boycott them to punish America for Trump. Might as well dump those money losers before the bleeding becomes a hemmorage.
 
the biggest impact to domestic GM operations is that Buick is going to need to find some other division to do the heavy lifting...otherwise, it seems to be a win for everyone involved.
 
Opel has suffered for quite some time putting out crap under GM for one reason or another. Maybe they'll start putting out a quality product again, although Pugeot is hit and miss. I do believe the RCZ would have sold much better under a German name though.
