Just made a gallon of home-brewed ginger beer. Absolutely delicious--just popped a couple of bottles to serve with tonight's curry dinner. Anyone else make any rooty beverages?
 
I do it, a gallon or half gallon at a time with some ginger, sugar and lemon juice. A little dry beer yeast and I leave it a room temp for a couple days to carbonate

Once made a batch of root beer from the extract you can get at the store. A couple of the bottles popped the corks during carbonation, and it tasted off. Not bad, necessarily, just not like store bought root beer. Was a fun experiment anyway.
