This G&L USA Fallout is a re-imagination of the infamous SC-2 from the '80's. The classic C-shape neck is maple, and it features a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo Plek-dressed frets. Electronically, this guitar combines the best of both worlds. There's a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position and a Paul Gagon-designed G&L P90 in the neck, which means you can get hot modern tones and warm vintage sounds out of this axe with equal ease. The saddle lock bridge on this guitar is super easy to use and keeps everything in tune very nicely. We love the straightforward, modern/retro vibe of this guitar, and we're sure you'll enjoy it for many years to come. American-made quality on such a unique design rarely comes at such a low price.

Not bad, but I prefer the SC-2, which sounds unique, and cool IMO. Paige Hamilton of Helmet, played one on "Biscuits For Smut" on the Betty album. Bob Mothersbaugh of Devo also played one.

Nice. I'm a fan of the humbucker bridge/P90 neck combo.
I really like that idea. Kind of like the Reverend Double Agent II. I would like a trem on this one but other than that, like it. Oh, and I would like two volume knobs. I like to be able to mix different amounts of bridge and neck.

Agreed, I think the SC-2 is a cooler looking guitar, and the MFD pickups are very unique. I have an SC-3, and ever since I got it, have had gas for an SC-2. The Fallout's an interesting take on it, though.

Like it. I know it's tacky, but I think it would look cool with a racing stripe at the forearm bevel. I would probably go for the vibrato version, re-wire it volume/volume and ditch the tone control, though.
