Dig it! Friday afternoon Bluegrass practice - "Forked Deer"

I like it! As you know, a few years ago I enjoyed joining a bluegrass flat picking jam. It was fun! And @Gary Blanchard , I guess some banjo could work, but I prefer mandolin in that setting. And a stand up bass.

Hence why I am learning to play Mandolin. It is a fun instrument and has really helped some of my technique.

According to folks at Banjo Hangout, it is not bluegrass if:
  1. It doesn't have banjo.
  2. It has chords other that G, C, and D
  3. The woman is alive at the end of the song.

Sadly the banjo does add that flavor and color...

As for the chords, big time!

As for the woman, don't know that one yet as I don't pay much attention to the lyrics at this time. Mostly concerned with melody, harmony and rhythm.
