Crap! I didn't notice that.Dammit...need 10.7 or higher :(
Isn't MAAAAAAAAAAVERICKS a free upgrade?Dammit...need 10.7 or higher :(
It is but I don't think there is a version of ProTools that works with it.Isn't MAAAAAAAAAAVERICKS a free upgrade?
So I ended up using it on the master fader when I mixed this tonight: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/p/simpletopandbottom.mp3
Tomorrow when I'm not half deaf and asleep I'll adjust the instrument levels. The mp3 has ridiculous amounts of guitar that I didn't hear in the PT session.
I was discussing that with Tyler tonight. I needed a Chicago "double shuffle" for this example and since I'm using EZ Drummer I bought their blues expansion pack...none of the feels are really authentic and this one actually swings or lays back too much on the upbeats where it shouldn't. I was hoping to not have to book a day to use a live drummer on this stuff since its just the audio examples for my book. I'm going to take another swing at it tomorrow but I was fairly frustrated. I ended up ignoring the drums to play the upbeat guitar part. Soloed up the guitars actually sound pretty much there but the drums are bugging the shit out of me. I just don't know what to do other than get live drums and I'm out of time and budget for this. That's a nice and crispy sounding recording.
But the groove ain't there, man.
Yeah, wow! It really does lay back on the hat to an obnoxious degree. Did you mess with the Velocity and/or Humanize knobs at all? This is what I was using: http://www.toontrack.com/products.asp?item=103
Check out the "mid town shuffle" in the music player.
