I have a set of BGs I got for 99 bucks on a summer sale a few years ago. They sound fantastic. I will stick with them.

I don't mind spending $300 for a set of strat pickups (Kinmans are about $260 a set and Suhr v60lp's can be about that much too) but $500 is pretty lame.

Yup.

My EMG DG20 David Gilmour set was a smidge over $300, but as a fully loaded, drop in pick guard. That price was fair and reasonable at least at that time. No way I would ever spend more than that just for a trio of Single Coils all by their lonesome. Nope.

I'm ordering a set, and tossing one of them, and putting the other two in my $12,000 Hollywood Bowl Esq- ... hey. I only need one! Can't wait to toss the other two.
