I have spent five figures on acoustic guitars, and will most likely continue to do so, but I cannot imagine ever doing so on a solidbody, unless it had serious potential as an investment.

I like the guitar. I could see dropping $500 on it. I have no ties to the Hollywood bowl, I've only been to CA once, when I was in 5th grade. If they made something like this from something like the 9:30 club when it was on F street or from RFK stadium, I could see dropping a little more than $500 because of my attachment to those "historic" venues. But $12k? not a chance.

$12,000 for a that? Uh no, you can get a Kirn Barnbuster or a Rick Kelly Bowerycaster for much less, and it'll be just as good, if not better than this guitar.
