The OBX and the bass synth modes sound great. Poly VI is passable. But the rest sound like cheap nineties digital synths running in demo mode at Radio Shack. .

EHX is having fun with these. Seem to be releasing 1 every 6 mos now.

Ok, I could potentially see me having use for this vs say a full guitar synth set up or a Variax, but how much? What's the street price? I'm guessing it probably costs more than I paid for either my Alesis Micron or Korg MicroKorg XL on CL. both of which can sit on one tier of a keyboard stand and are phat as phuck in the sound department with huge breadth of available sounds and functionality.

For the one or two times a night I might use it, I doubt it's worth it. But I'll admit that the synth bass alone is pretty bad ass.
