Handmade instruments that bleed soul, and ooze tone. Each and every instrument that is created by master luthier Gabriel Currie for Echopark Guitars is the product of a deeply bred lineage of craftsmanship. For a guitar built with love in mind; for a piece of art that has been coddled and cared for from its inception; for a practical, yet dynamic, tool that is second-to-none for making music; welcome yourself into the ever-expanding world of Echopark Guitars.

The Downtowner is a simultaneously stunning and understated instrument that cleverly fuses design elements from a few famous vintage guitars—the curvy bout of the LP and simplicity of the SG Classic, with funky Supro and Silvertone like lines.

I like it, but have to wonder if a blended P90 and mini-hum might not be a terribly useful tone...

Beautiful wood, but $4,500 for a used solidbody of no particular vintage is insane.
I like it, but have to wonder if a blended P90 and mini-hum might not be a terribly useful tone...

The first issue of '52 Fender Tele Hot Rod had the mini-HB neck and Tele bridge...those things sounded pretty friggin' sweet. Not the same I know, but I could see getting a nice mixed tone.

Miraculously, I honestly like it.

But, on principle, I do feel that koa should only be used for ukes. Anything else seems unethical. And often looks tacky and tasteless.

for some reason, i don't think i've liked anything i've seen from this builder. same is true for this example. i like the Koa, but that's it.
