One thing I think I realized from the ones I posted (and the ones I play) is that my favorite PRS are ones that DON'T have fancy quilted tops. :baimun:

When I was in high school, I wanted nothing more than a Les Paul.

When I was about to graduate, my parents told me they'd buy me a Les Paul for graduation.

I played several of them.

I ended up with a PRS CE24.

It blew away every Gibson I played.

I was 33 years old before I finally got a Les Paul, and even though I still have it, I'd sell it in a heartbeat. The PRS will never leave, though most of the attachment is sentimental.

i bought one just like this new in 1988 and played it until 1998. i liked it a lot, but in the end, i had to go back to a strat to get the sound i really wanted. the coil split sound was ok, but still wasnt the same. but the thing played super nice.

I'm with you on that. Not a fan of the fancy quilted tops on most guitars.
