Do you have a Les Paul killer?

I have no Les Paul GAS......thank goodness. Nice guitars though....I just have no desire to own one. Closest I ever had was my '83 Ibanez Artist.

Kauer's Starliners are probably the closest thing I've tried to a "Les Paul killer". His remind me of the Historic Les Pauls from the Custom Shop.

Another one that gets close (but not as close) is the James Tyler Variax JTV-59. I have the P-90 version, and it works great for cover band stuff with multiple tunings. The build quality is pretty similar to a Les Paul Standard.

Agreed on that, however while similar they have their own personality.

My Eggle is more of a PRS beater tbh but I'd pick it over a Les Paul any and every day of the week.

The Jackson Infinity XL is a complete rock monster and will sustain for ages so also gets picked ahead of a Les Paul.

I wish I could say that but in the case of Wein's guitar and mine, they play great. Now I have played some that are truly dudes - hence your quality control.

No biggie...took me 25 years before I found a Les Paul that will work for me.

So what is it about Les Paul's that you guys don't like? Scale, weight, bridge?
I thought that I hated them until I spent time playing one.

What is that Washburn? Reminds me of a Dean Cadillac but without the stupid V headstock.
