Dampit - Hollow Body Maintenance

So I am now the proud owner of a used Gretsch and have been reading all kinds of interesting maintenance things about the instrument.

One of things is that Gretsch recommends a humidifier for longevity of the instrument.

"When the instrument is not in use, we recommend that you keep it in its case and use one of the small guitar humidifiers such as “Dampit”, available from many instrument dealers."

So I found Dampit on Amazon an will be buying a couple of them for my hollowbodys - one for my Gretsch and the other for my Gibson Howard Roberts.

Anyone else try this? Or other systems?

I have a dampit and it's great.... If you remember to refill it.

I've got an extra, still in the package, if you want it

When I got my Taylor, I bought their recommended "humidification system." The Planet Waves system will either give moisture, or remove moisture. Here in Tennessee, that a good thing. Right now, removing moisture is important. In the winter, though, the air gets very dry.

BTW, if I have the specs of the 6120 correct, the body is laminate and should be less effected by humidity changes.
