I didn't expect to win anything. All I wanted to do was help out a friend and his good cause. Winning this guitar was indeed a bonus. Chris shipped the guitar out to me and it arrived before x Mas. It sure is a real beauty. The neck plays great and is buzz free. The pickups are a tad hot for my liking but they still sound like a Strat. Bottom line is it's well crafted and a fun playing guitar.

The finishing kit came with idiot proof instructions. Highly recommended if you want to do your own finish. Body also came from there - very good pricing on their unfinished bodies.

How do you like the blend pot function on that guitar? The pickups are Fralin Vintage Hots, but they are more vintage than hot. The bridge pickup is a little hotter at around 6.8K with a steel plate on the bottom.

That is a beautiful guitar. And I have to say that grandmother used a stove much like that all her life. When I was about 10 years old she finally got rid of the ice box and bought a refrigerator. Good memories. Thanks.

We used that stove to hold our tv and videos in the family room. I have all the parts and with some minor adjustments it could still be functional. Joanne loved that stove so I hauled it down to Florida. Got a hernia in the process but it's all good.
