Hmmmm...

Going to see Gowan on Dec 7.
A friend of ours is a huge fan and asked if we wanted to go for a night out.

While looking up the event date, I noticed that Burton Cummings is playing the same venue in January. So, I snagged a pair of tickets for that.

Correction. Burton Cummings played there tonight.
Got screwed on the tickets. I bought them by selecting on the seating chart and had floor seats in the second section, but right on the centre aisle.
At least 10 people we talked to picked those same seats on the map.
We all got different seats on our tickets. So, we had seats. They just weren’t where they were on the seating map.

So we got to watch screens all night.

The Spoons opened the show. I’m sure they did a good job. They looked to be enjoying themselves.
The sound man made sure no one could tell.
I wanted to leave.
It was all bass and kick drum in the mix.

The sound was drastically different when Burton and the band came out. Almost the complete opposite. Barely any bass and kick. It crept back in to the mix after a while but it was at a good level.
Great show from that point on. Nothing but hits all night long and he even left some out. He’s just got that much of a catalog to work from.
Man, he can sing. He turns 70 on Sunday.
