To get the same look and feel for a quarter of what this costs I could buy a cheap Gibson and get the fretwork fixed. I just don't get the appeal of bootek prices for the stylings of a Melody Maker.

I like a lot of Collings' offerings, but this isn't particularly one of them.

It's OK, just not really for me.
I'm kind of with @jp_nyc on this one.

Ridiculously obvious yes, is ridiculous and obvious.

But as jr pointed out Collings' price for their take on an entry level Gibson is the most ridiculous aspect of all. :thu:

Hmm, if I spent $350 on a set of Lollar mini-hums and put them in my LP Special P90 I would have almost the identical guitar for $850.

Collings thinks a lot more of their guitars than I do. That said, a Junior with mini's is a fail regardless of cost

The only thing I can say about Collings is once you play one, you'll get it. It's not just an expensive version of an LP Jr./Special. Visually it might be, but the guitar itself is a totally different beast.

Nice- but the pic makes it look like it's covered in dandruff:embarrassed:.

Yikes! Over $4000 for it though. I'd like to try one.
