Back in December, we had a client specialist who had been at the bank for 35 years retire.

To replace her, the boss hired a 28 year old with an MBA and previous trust experience.

In the 7 and a half months she's worked here, she has called in sick at least 15 times, is at least an hour late for work at least once a week (usually 2-3 times per week), takes an hour and a half for lunch, and often dicks around for 30 minutes after she arrives (if she arrives).

We are basically customer service, and when she isn't here, those customers get me or the other Client Specialist.

Our workload has almost doubled because we're picking up her slack.

She seems oblivious to the fact that she's causing everyone in our department to work harder and still fall behind.

My semi-annual review its tomorrow, and I know my boss it's going to get on my ass about filing. It's pretty tough to get to the file room when you're doing two people's jobs.

I hope I can express my displeasure without losing my cool.

Who knows, maybe after tomorrow I'll have more time to play guitar. :embarrassed:

Is she hot?

Not particularly. She's not hideous, but she's not at all hawt, and she's a spoiled princess with a doctor daddy who pays her bills for her.

She doesn't need a job, and unfortunately for her co-workers, she knows that if she gets fired, daddy will make sure she still drives a BMW and lives in a $300,000 house.

Thats does it. I want to marry her.

Mojo and stick to the facts.

We have 10 people just like that. All family members that they've "found jobs" for.

Tell your boss what you told us in the OP, calmly and matter of fact. Does she report to your boss as well or someone else?

Or, take a page from Full Metal Jacket and get some blankets and bars of soap.

Yes, she reports to the same boss.

And she came in today at 9:15 (we are supposed to be here at 8:embarrassed:0), went to lunch at 12:45, came back at 2:30, and now she's been missing in action since 3:10.

What in the actual FUCK?

Taking "banker's hours" to a whole 'nuther level.

How does she still have a job? Daddy Warbucks friends with the boss or someone higher up?

I just don't see how the bosses don't know what's going on. I agree that you just need to stay calm and offer the facts. If she has an "in," you're in trouble if you get angry, and if she doesn't, and her review will be her last, then your anger isn't needed.
