Christmas Dinner With The Family..

tompetty

Sporting a hammer...
I'll try not going into a long drawn out drawl for fear of losing people,(shit, there goes Theodore already).

Hosting a 'close to Christmas' evening this year..
Individual chicken pot pies, garden salad and blueberry crumble for dessert...

I've only made pot pies a few times and don't think I've made it the same way twice...

The last one I have bookmarked and it was pretty good..

Just wondering if anyone can improve\add\take away,to this recipe,or suggest another...

Thanks peeps...

I prefer a shortening crust rather than butter, but YMMV. Really. As long as you don't stint on the pot, everyone will love it!

Seems like a good idea to me. You can probably do the individual pies with an oversized muffin pan and cupcake liners, which will make serving and cleanup easy. Combine this with the ready-to-bake french bread from Costco and you’ve got dinner covered. Just tell the guests to bring wine and dessert.

I'll be making the dessert too because I love to cook and my kids enjoy my efforts...

As for the pies,I'll use the same ones that I use for french onion soup...

Thanks guys.....Deep Dish Pot Pie......

My daughter makes great pot pies. Usually after a chicken or turkey roast dinner.
Sounds like a good plan TP.
