Achtung! Celebrity Sighting - Sheryl Crow

Modern Saint

Starve your Fear, Feed your Dream!
Sorry No Pic folks so validation isn't quite there other than verbal trust.

Yesterday I went to the Millineum Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles where my company is holding our annual National Sales Meeting. In the main hallway towards our meeting room a commercial was being shot. Low and behold, a slim figured gorgeous woman in high pumps and long legs stood there with her hair nicely tossed waiting for her queue. I stood there dumb fonded waiting to go back to the meeting noticing that this was Sheryl Crow. Well I chose to stand there and watch her do several takes of the commercial and get an eyeful.

Stupid me didn't have my iPhone with me at the moment to snap a picture - oh well.

There's a local realtor whose name is Sheryl Crow. I often wonder how much business she gets based on her name being the same as the singer.... Nice spot.

My "cute female celeb" sighting was when I was walking into Knut Koupee music in Minneapolis in the late 80s-early 90s sometime. Cute, short. Jeans, jean jacket, tiny T-shirt. Says "Hi!" with a dazzling smile. Me at the time being clueless about women and probably grumpy stop a sec and go "uh, oh, hi!" and walk in.

It was Sheila E.

She's not very tall! Cute.

You dufus. That was Prince, not Sheila E.

I was actually hoping he'd be in tow but I get the idea he has "handlers" to "get him stuff" as opposed to appearing in public. Sheila didn't seem to care.

At first I didn't recognize her but my friend who was in tow "you idiot, Sheila E just said Hi to you" when we got into the store.

I miss the Knut days, that was the place that Bireli Lagrene tore everyone in the store a new one just trying out guitars.

I know she is a looker, but Miss Crow in on my list of least liked celebrities....:embarrassed:

You think that is bad?

Sheila E lived for about seven years less than two blocks away from me back in the 70's (our Jr High & HS years). I didn't know her at all. She went to an 'Arts' high school out of the city. I know I had to have seen here on multiple occasions but other than knowing that a Latin drummer lived in the house (her Dad), I had no clue about the family.

Justine Bateman was hanging out in a club where my band was playing once.
She looked hot.
Now, not so much.

A long time ago I rode in an elevator with Claudia Schiffer. I was on my way to work here in Chicago at about 7:embarrassed:0 a.m., and I get into the elevator in my office building. As I entered the elevator, I noticed there was a striking blonde there, but I didn't think much of it at the time as I was still waking up (and I generally try to avoid staring at people in elevators). A couple hours later I'm told that Ms. Schiffer is a few floors above our offices for a photo shoot, and I realize it was her in the elevator. I seriously thought about riding the elevators constantly for the rest of the day in an effort to run into her again. :)

Still beats the time I met Joan Rivers.

+1 I can't stand her.

BTW was she shooting a toilet paper commercial?

No TP in hands. Alot of extras posing as hotel visiters and valets were part of the shoot. They all had their starting points and ending points marked - a true production. Who knows, maybe another American Express commercial. Just look for a hotel setting when it aires and that will be the one.

As for other sightings, about 6-7 years ago Jenna Elfman was in the row of seats behind me. I knew that voice right away and looked back - low and behold it was here. When we landed in Tampa, Fl I went over and talked to her for a short bit while we in the plane. I sat in the emergency row and there was no seat in front of her. I don't believe anyone else knew she was on the plane besides myself and her neighbor who was just another passenger. They were playing a trivia game on Song airlines during our flight.
