C7 in the wild

This is the third or fourth one I've seen, first one parked. The darker colors definitely look better with the black trim pieces to me and lessen the the disjointed ass end. Interior look great and overall, a really sharp car

I still haven't seen one yet. I guess they haven't made their way to SD streets.

I hope they have one to test drive at the car show this year. I wanna see how it compares to my C6Z06.

My brother Jon said he did some work on the new transmission when he was at his old job the past two years (automotive company as a temp, mainly 3D autocad-type work I think).

Are the transmissions in the rear-end on those things?

I feel roughly the same about it as I do every post-60's-70's-80's style corvette. It's pretty meh. They've blanded down what was once a pretty sleek, good looking car into something that resembles every other bland go-fast car.

I don't hate it, but I wouldn't buy one.

Nice looking car, but it just looks "cheap". As in, cheaply made, not well put together, kind of "junky" if that makes sense.

Yes, it's a transaxle

& They don't look cheap in person (well, the rear does look a bit hokey)

Was thinking the thread was about a chord. I saw one of those in Ketchum the other day. It was ok, but looked a little too "Batmobile" for me. I prefer classic, cleaner, euro lines.

I finally saw a C7 in person at the SD auto show yesterday, and I have to say that I like it. The pictures just don't do it justice at all. Even the rear end looks good when you see it in person. It has some interesting angles that the pictures don't show very well that makes it work. And from the side and front it just looks awesome!!!

That being said, I will be keeping my C6 Z06 for a while. I am quite happy with it.
