So I've had this pedal for a month now. I haven't use it much because even though it has a good amount of gain on tap(and sounds good on lower gain settings), the pedal is dark as hell. Even with the tone knob maxed, it is dark.
I've tried running boosts with eq before it to give it a push with top end, but nothing sounded good.
Yesterday afternoon, I ran it in front of my Tech 21 RK5(richie kotzen pedal) into my mixer using headphones. The RK5 has cabinet emulation and I also used the boost on the RK5 after the Burnley... holy mother!!! This pedal just opened up. Setting the boost at 5:30 or so gave a nice top end bite to the pedal. Chords were monsterous and sounded full with great bass response(not flubby at all).
Turning it off and using the RK5 distortion instead sounded thinner in comparison.
I have a Friendman BE-OD coming in this week so we will see if the Bogner will stay, but it sounded excellent this way.
