Blue Angels are in town.......good end to a $h!tty week.

Rough week. Had to go to Mass General the other day for a bunch of appointments and a bone marrow biopsy.
They corkscrew into your pelvis, suck out some juice and then chip off a piece of bone.
Yeah, it hurts.
I've been stuck with more needles than I can count this week. My arms look like a f'ing junky.

In any event, I live less than a mile from the Brunswick, ME airport where there's an airshow this weekend. I've been looking forward to it, but wasn't really sure if I'd be able to see the show. I think I'm in the flight path.
My grandson (he's 5) is coming over with my daughter and a few of her friends and their kids.
I'll probably end up grilling burgers and dogs for everyone.

I took these pics from my porch. They got a lot closer than this, but as you'd expect, they're moving right along and it's tough to take pics on a cell phone. A few flew right over me, close enough to where I could see the pilot in the cockpit and read the number on the tail fin.
So......air conditioning, free burgers and dogs, ice cold beer, kids losing their marbles, a working toilet and an airshow!
Feeling better already.

Not a fan, When I lived in Seattle they would fly over Queen Anne every year and pretty much all that day you couldn't hear yourself think. Really really loud and for what?

Mojo for the procedures, but I love an air show, and the Blue Angels are badass. We often get flyovers by CalFire aircraft either scouting or scrambled to fires. . C-130s, Sikorsky S-64s and Firehawks, and the Boeing 107 and 234s (the big double rotor choppers) among others. Thankful that so far it's been flyovers.

Because it's cool?

You're the only person I have ever heard of who wouldn't want to go see them.
But to each their own.

I'm just happy that I can see the airshow from my porch and can duck into the air conditioning or grab a cold beer/hot dog with no crowds while the show is going on. I imagine traffic is going to suck, so I need to get what I need early today.

All Chicagoans of taste and refinement hate the Air and Water show and its Blue Angels and stunt planes and other pointless noisemakers of mechanized death and destruction. Noisy airshow hoopla is bumpkin stuff. Total yokel behavior.

So @Honkridge is proud owner of a thoroughly correct opinion.
