Since Gibby showed off his Gibson Firebird Tribute, I have been GASing one since his thread some 3-4 weeks ago (?). I search and search as I only want a Vintage Sunburst but I know that either:

1) will find one - did but more money than I want to pay on e-pay
2) won't find one
3) find one, try it out and render it non-essential

Sad state of affairs this bloody GAS!

That gave me a case of GAS as well...I even checked the Wildwood site to see if they had another one. I'm considering unloading my Rev Buckshot if I can find the right replacement. But - they were out unfortunately....
 
Searched through Sam Ash and GC online including the mail house subsidiaries - all out.

Bumming even more when Sam Ash didn't remove the ones that were just sold. They were going for $599 and was the Vintage Sunburst one (2 actually) that I was interested in.....

Oh the shame....
 
This sucks major.

I am still thinking about this silly guitar. My only saving grace is that I can't find one locally.
 
Keep an eye out for used ones, as there was a ton blown out over the holidays.

Was about to pull the trigger and when I called it was just sold.....sigh!

I have a cherry red Epiphone Firebird Studio. I played it side by side with the Gibson Tribute. I like the Epi better. I'll sell you mine for $350 shipped via PP gift. I'll include a polyfoam semi hard case. Here is a pic. Since the pic was taken I've reinstalled the stock humbuckers and removed the Bigsby. It was attached via a Vibramate. If you don't buy it, it's going to the guitar shop later this week.

Thanks for the offer PK but I am going to pass. Been looking for the Vintage Sunburst since Gibby announced his HNGD.

Great looking axe though and I hope that it finds a great home.
