Anyone want a mixing/mastering job?

Gary Blanchard

beloved, local musician
I need to have the tracks from my new CD properly mixed and mastered. Andy was going to do it, but has been having computer problems. Each song has three or four tracks; the biggest thing is to balance the harmonica parts so they aren't too in front in the mix. (Carol agrees with many here about harmonica; she doesn;t mind it, but felt it was too harsh and in your face.) We are willing to pay; this is not a volunteer job.

I would gladly do it. I've been mixin and mastering all my stuff so you can check it out and see if it's to your liking. I've typically got a lot going on mix wise. I know the music style is totally different but you can get an idea.
I've even got an audio degree and everything, and I'm totally broke! Also my upcoming release has harmonica in it :thu:

I have no qualifications but it would be a fun learning/experiment for me to work on (while someone who knows what they're doing does the real work).

If Sonik doesn't take the gig, I will. I've got a very robust setup for both mixing and mastering. I've done quite a few of my own projects at this point, and I've branched out to working on local bands' projects in the last couple years.

Came in to offer my services, but looks like you're in good hands. Feel free to hit me up if things fall through.

I took Sonic up on the offer, but thanks to all who responded. I prefer to work with folks I know here to strangers.

Maybe I'll use another person on a future project. That seems like it would be fun.
