I'm going to be there for work all of next week. I was supposed to go with my boss, but his schedule changed.

thus, I'm going to be that guy who eats dinner every night by himself... awesome!!!!

anyway, let me know if you're local and would like to possibly hang for a few hours
 
You're going to be hours from most of the people we hear from lots on here. But there are a lot of cool places to go and visit nearby, including Mt. Diablo, Muir Woods and Point Reyes national Seashore.
 
My Mom and Sister both live in Concord. You'll be 20 minutes from Berkeley and half an hour from San Francisco, both cities home to some of the best guitar shops in the world. There's the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Sausalito, Treasure Island, all of which you can see when you drive over the hill from Concord toward Oakland. Sorry to say it's going be raining the next few days, but there are still a million things to see there.
Don't miss Golden Gate Park, Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, the view from Coit Tower, fresh crab at Fisherman's Wharf, Molinari Salami, Linguisa, Chinese food, beautiful women, downtown Walnut Creek, Jack London Square.

If you just get a few hours each day after work, head to Berkeley or San Francisco. Any local can tell you what not to miss, and google can tell you about the local guitar shops.
