Amp recommendations

Living the dream
Thinking about giving my current practice amp to my son, and would like to upgrade to a small tube amp. I have a 12" speaker cab I can use so looking for a head.

I'd like a switchable 1-5-12w or similar, though a 5w would probably be fine, master volume, some tone controls, headphone out. I want good clean headroom for pedals, but also great tube distortion/tone.

~$300 budget

Ideas?

What type of music do you play?
But yeah, $300 for a tube amp is stretching it. If you could go to $600 you're back in the game.

I don't think the SCX2 has a headphone jack.

Look for one of the Peavey Micro heads used.
Do any tube amps have a headphone jack? None of my amps had one.

The headphone jack is one reason I bought the Pathfinder 15r .

It's only one watt, but it does a lot with that one watt.

I have a Crate VC20 that does. The Marshall DSL 1h , DSL 5, Blackstar 1 and 5 watt heads do also. The new Peavey micros do also. Headphone jacks on amps are out there.

Great stuff guys, I have been doing some reading up. Keep the suggestions coming. I am ok with used.

It's not what you are looking ,but my SCXD with a 10" Ragin Cajun is pretty damn good. I have the Marshall voice for dirt,a nice Fender clean, and my Mooer Rat clone.
With the footswitch I get 3 toanz that do me good.

I got the amp and footswitch for $210.00

Great buy in me eyes.
