I have been really into this girl from my old hometown. She was getting big(locally) during the Bieber craze and she either took a back seat or was just forgot about.
She is still working with music and will periodically post the odd video.

I prefer singers

Well said. I don't care a whole lot for vocal gymnastics and power belters. My favorite singers don't even have the best voices: Pete Seeger, Donovan, Jerry Garcia, Graham Nash (who does beautiful harmonies but has an odd lead voice).

Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell are two exceptions to than rule.
