Adding switchable negative feedback to an amp that don't got none

It worked! The chassis metal is thick and I snapped one of my drill bits, and of course the bit went skittering off and fucked up the back panel. But other than that it was a fairly painless process, and the results are cool. I’m going to take it to a jam tomorrow and record with my zoom.

Awesome! Ya know, I kinda thought about changing the feedback resistor in my Twin, but never thought about making it switchable. That's a pretty cool mod. :thu:

I will try and record an example to share. The problem is I am in an apartment and you can’t really get a good idea of the difference unless the amp is at least a little bit cranked. I will see if I can run it through my attenuator though.

Hi there sorry to bother you, how did this mod work out for you in the end?

I’m considering replacing the 47ohm resistor with a 100 ohm for a permanent change. Do you know if this would work?

Cheers
