I made up this backing track in A Phrygian in 6/8 for your jamming pleasure, using Addictive Drums and Guitar Rig 4:

The chords I used were:

Though there is a (faint) B in that first chord, it doesn't really get in the way of the Phrygian flavour (which would suggest a Bb) to my ears as it's buried under the tremelo effect.

My take to get us started, and being Phrygian, I felt obliged to steal some licks from our favourite doughnut eating Swede.

...It's all a bit sloppy, but one take. For those who might not know, you can play the A Phrygian mode over the whole thing, which is the same notes as the F Major/D minor scale, but with A as your "key" centre.

I will attempt soon. Thought I would have the time over the break but was encountering the South Carolina experiences of heat, humidity (yes in So Cal) and sloth moments. We have thunderstorms in the high desert so the humidity just kills us here in SoCal. Temps not as bad the South Carolina but with no AC, you live in an armpit when this type of weather strikes.

this one's natural to me...it just flows.

some of them, I really gotta think about what I'm doing
this one, not so much.

it really needed to be a minute or two longer though:wink:
