A good tip for all the collabers here. :)

Dexter Inferno

Serious error
...or anyone who needs to upload/send big audio files for whatever reason.

The software you didn't know you needed - Monkey's Audio.

Lossless file compression, far more effective than Zip and similar.
Been using it for years, with great results.
Used at the highest compression setting a Monkey'd wave file (which of course is called an APE file ) isn't much bigger than a high bitrate mp3, and sounding a whole lot better. :)

Best thing is, it's FREE and only a 1MB download.

To illustrate how well it works, I took the files from Prages' Boston tune, unzipped them and then compressed them with Monkey's Audio.
Unzipped these files were at approx. 800 MB - after the Monkey treatment I got them down to a total of 205 MB (which is about half the size of the two original zip files combined). :thu:

Only drawbacks are that you'll need the software to decompress the files, and it's Windows only.

But definitely recommended in any event.
It's absolutely a time and frustration saver. :)

And this concludes today's PSA.

I just downloaded the software and tested it out.

Very easy to use, and yes, it compressed all 14 tracks down to 205 mb.

Good find, Dexter.
