A Cautionary Tale

Gary Blanchard

beloved, local musician
A man got a text from his neighbor.
"I'm so sorry Bob, I've been riddled with guilt and I have to confess. I have been tapping your wife day and night when you're not around. In fact, more than you. I'm not getting any at home, but that's no excuse. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you accept my sincerest apology with my promise that it won't happen again."

The man anguished and betrayed went into his bedroom, grabbed his gun and, without a word, shot his wife.

A couple of seconds later another text arrived.....
"Damn auto-correct, I meant WiFi, not wife."

That scares off the average person while attracting most hackers from script kiddies to black hatted pro's.

Yeah, that's not working for most people.

I hacked my neighbor's router during the NHL playoffs a couple of years ago (he's a Bruins fan, and I am a Philly fan) and I changed his wireless ID to "Flyers_Forever".
We had a pretty good laugh over it the following weekend when he came up and went to get onto his WiFi.

horrible...Gary, I'm ashamed of you...or at least I feel like I should be better person than am, as in actually being ashamed and offended
