On this guitar, the upper switch puts the pickups into and out of phase when both pickups are on:

Oops! My Bad! Sorry, I didn't notice the lack of roller pots.

I'm thinking of possibly trying one out tomorrow, since I'll be on vacation, due to the fact that it supposedly has a chunkier neck than your typical Jag (as I've gotten older, I've gravitated towards chunkier necked guitars).

I hope it's worth a refret. I know that struggle is difficult for you.

I decided to pass for now. I ended up getting rid of some dust collectors, and getting instead a 2002 Gibson ES-135H, and some cash back.

The neck on the American Proffessional Jaguars (both the maple and rosewood fingerboard models), was OK, but not as chunky as I like. The one on my old CIJ '66 Reissue Jag, was better IMO.
