This a gorgeous guitar. It has the traditional mahogany body and neck but it has a maple top like a Les Paul. The maple top is a quilt top. The Sounds terrific like an SG should with a little more brightness. It is a great unique piece. It comes with a hardshell case. Weighs 6 lbs., 10.2 oz.

I like the SG but I'm not so sure I like THIS SG.
Hate the gold hardware.
And although I used to really like the look of a quilt top, I'm not so sure I do anymore. I much prefer a flame top.
All that said, I'd rock the fuck out of this for $1500 less.

I used to hate SGs, then I found myself drawn to them, especially in red or brown. This one comes close to taking me back to my original position.

I generally dislike SGs with the fiery passion of a 1000 burning suns, but I like that one, a lot.

So'k

I can say from my experience that taking mahogany bodies that are thin (like an SG) and slapping a thick maple top on them isn't a successful tone recipe.

I don't like the feel of SGs. Love how they sound.
This one is just awful.

Same reaction I have when I see a telecaster all blinged out like a hooker outside the RNC convention.
