3M Dual Lock?

The shitty velcro that came with my pedal train board finally failed. Starting to rapidly peel off the back of at least half of my pedals.

Who uses Dual lock? Which style type works well with pedals and boards? I looked on Amazon and got overwhelmed by the options.

I don't use dual lock. It is a pain in the ass and I've never had a pedal come off the board using regular Velcro. I've always just used the stuff that comes with the Pedaltrain boards and when I run out (of the pedal side Velcro) I just head over to Lowes and pick up some Velcro. The ones that are pedal sized. There are people on Reverb who sell the rolls of the Pedaltrain stuff.

Pedaltrain stuff is shit. At least what they gave me.

I've never had a problem with it. Do your pedals come off the board with it?

I use dual lock for my power supply and would never use that stuff on pedals. It is a giant pain in the ass to get a pedal off. Usually involves getting a putty knife out and prying it off.

I use dual lock on all of my stuff.... it's great because it doesn't pick up fuzz and lint like the fuzzy stuff does, and when you click a pedal in place... holy fuck... you can pick up your pedal board by a single pedal. I use a wide spatula type thing when redoing my board to separate the pedals from the board.

I also like that it doesn't just "ehh" stick on... you move a pedal into place and it "clicks" down and won't wiggle around when you're a drunken sasquatch like me.

My Novo 24 didn't come with jack shit! Fargin bastiges.

Regular velcro works fine as long as it has enough proper mating surface. The only time I have trouble with it is on pedals with goofy bottom shapes that aren't flat or have big gaps, and on pedals with huge label stickers on the bottom that is not as strong as the velcro so they pull away from the pedal and you end up with a wad of velcro/label that are inseparable.

I swing by Lowes on my way home... $15... and I've got enough to last me for a year of pedal swapping and board reconfigurations.

The boards work best when you put multiple strips across the entire width o fthe board.

Their site or Amazon should be able to take care of you. There's clear also, but the black looks better between the pedals.

Velcro has always worked for me...I think the trick with Dual Lock is that a little goes a long way...just a 3/4" strip at each end or 1" squares on the corners is all you need...

...and a pry bar to get the pedals back off the board...

Yeah... don't use a long strip of dual lock on your pedal... unless you really REALLY need it to stay put.
