Blackmore Wannabe
Deep Purple released Perfect Strangers and my mind was BLOWN. I had discovered Ritchie Blackmore in 1982 via Rainbow, and went backwards thru the various line ups of Rainbow and ended up with a copy of Machine Head and while my friends were into Randy Rhoads and EVH I was so caught up in Ritchies Vibrato, attack and scale choices I had no time for anyone else. My teacher at the time was trying to get me motivated to learn Theory and he was very very cool at intertwining it with the Deep Purple tuneage.
I STILL love this album as much as i did in the 80's and I think it holds up very well.

Perfect Strangers will always be my favorite Purple contribution...

I know there are hard core people out there, but that album from start to finish was a diamond....

I fucking liked it so much that I learned most of it on acoustic....

I'm on your side............

perfect strangers is one of my favorite DP albums.....and i became a fan of Sir Blackmore in 1972.

and Sir Lord is still one of the greatest rock organists ever
