I really dig it, always thought the batwing headstock was brilliant... but my guess is it doesn't balance very well. Basses are tricky to get balanced.

Yeah, it looks like it'd probably neck dive pretty bad. This is why some basses have really long upper horns. I would guess that the weight of the wood would have to factor in as well.

But you probably already knew that.

For a 1965 Epiphone bass I like this one to look at. But it's got the Gibson mud pickups so the GPOTD version probably sounds better.

I personally dig the Wilshire body shape and the bat wing head stock. I own a couple of Epi's Reissue Wilshires. One (the Worn '66 RI) sounded great (nice sounding mini-hums) out of the box, the other (Wilshire Ltd Pro) will need the typical Epiphone electronics upgrade for more vibe n chime.
