My first car was the '70 model, with the 390.

Those hub caps were incredibly heavy, I'd guess close to 7-8 lbs apiece. I'm amazed to see they stayed put in this video, as they didn't for me.

One flew off early one Sunday morning and I had to follow it for an entire block as it tore through flower beds, gardens and yards before it came to rest against a brick home.

The biggest challenge back then was traction. PolyGlass tires sucked for traction.
