They were overpriced then, which is why nobody bought them and they were discontinued. Not feeling it now.

All headstocks are beautiful, even with a middle pickup, as the instrument is a failboat merely due to the presence of said middle pickup.
 
It definitely looks like something an alien siren would use to lure in Capt. Kirk (of course, it really didn't take that much effort). Being that I'm not Capt. Kirk, it really does nothing for me.
 
I remember these were supposed a big deal. Never got to play one, but I really dislike the aesthetics.

I remember how Guitar Player magazine really oohed and ahhed over them. I just never much liked the way they looked. I'd have to try one out, and be totally wowed by it, before I bought it.
