I played one a few years ago. I wanted to like it because the ES-350 is one of my all-time favorite guitars, but I didn't care for the feel of the neck or the way it sounded. Not a fan of the cutaway, either.

The Godin is close, but I wish someone would make a reasonably priced copy of the ES-350 with P-90s.

I didn't like the few I played. The pickups kill the top resonance. They look nice though.

The Kingpins are legitimately a step up from their other archtops, in case you haven't tried one of those specifically.

At any rate... I've been a longtime Godin fan, and have always felt that they really are one of the very best bang-for-buck makers.

I was excited to play the Kingpin versions with pickups when they came out. They left me unfulfilled. I'd rather add a floating pickup to original like Andy did.
