I like doublecut Melody makers. The cutaway shape veers into Strat territory (too much asymetery for Mustang cutaways). I'm more concerend with the body shape, than the headstock shape.


Seems more a cheap Gibson knockoff. As far as I know superstrats generally don't have 3-a-side headstocks and wraparound bridges.

Still, the body shape is more super-strat (of which Gibson made a few back in the 80s [I had a Gibson super-strat from 1987-1990]), which blahs me out bigtime. I'm not that picky about whether or not the headstock has 3 on a side, or 6 inline tuners.
