Guitar world had a review/ad for a "budget" model that cost about $1900. I was intrigued and checked it out online, but the back of the neck doesn't appeal to me. Instead of being rounded, it's composed of three planes (like a trapezoid). It's supposed to be very good for people who play with their thumb on the back of the neck, but it looks very uncomfortable for wrapping your thumb around the neck like I do.

Mmmmmmmaybe. As you well know, super-strats bore me to tears, but the fact that this is an 8-string, does offset that boredom to an extent.

Nah! These uber-techno guitars are just not my thing. I'd wanna take half the strings off, plug into some old crunchy Silvertone amp and play some Seasick Steve stuff on it.
